Hansen Steel Services is a steel fabrication and processing company working with large plate thickness materials. Hansen maintains all of their raw material inventory on the Del Mar system. Employees can inquire on inventory by thickness, width, length and material type. All purchase orders for material are processed on the system. Hansen employee use the order entry screen to select the material and the processes to be performed. Hansen utilizes color laser printers to designate production paperwork. Hansen employees log into and out of jobs on computers in the shop. This information is used to track job profitability and efficiency. Hansenalso uses the Del Mar system to produce invoices and shipping documents.

This transition included an extensive data conversion. Stainless Motors places a heavy emphasis on inventory, bills of material, purchasing, and job tracking.

Pro-Coil is a web-based business that stores large steel coils and processes those coils into sheets or plates. When a coil arrives, a barcode id tag is generated and the customer is notified via email. The customer signs into the procoil site to place an order to level sheets or plates levelled from a coil. The customer selects a coil then defines the lengths to be levelled from the coil. The levelling order automatically appears on the shop coil backlog screen. Upon completion of the levelling, the customer is notified via email that the order is complete. A text message is sent to the shop foreman when a truck arrives to pick up a levelled order.

L.A. Gauge is a precision machine shop serving the aerospace, defense, optics, and nuclear industries. For over 50 years L.A. Gauge has set the standard for ultra precision machining of Beryllium Alloys and other exotic materials. L.A. Gauge utilizes the Del Mar software for all aspects of accounting and manufacturing. The engineering module is used to define part masters, bills of material and production routers. The production control module is used to track and schedule jobs and print travellers. The inventory module is used to track all inventory from receipt through consumption. Inventory is tracked by lot and location. L.A. Gauges utilizes an elaborate job cost system utilizing bot a fingerprint scanner and bar code to track labor costs.
